More than 12 years old
Single open water dives made with precise purposes of learning and specialization: deep dive, night dive, wreck dive, peak performance buoyancy, drift dive, underwater navigation dive, underwater naturalist dive and many others. Every dive is certified and may be valid for the Advanced Open Water Diver license.
With 5 Adventure Dives (among which there must be a deep dive and an underwater navigation dive) you get the Advanced O.W.D. license that allows you to dive at a maximum depth of 30 meters (for Junior Advanced O.W.D. the maximum depth is 21 meters).
According to most divers, it's the most beautiful, stimulating, interesting and useful advanced course. You acquire the skills and learn the techniques to prevent the most common unexpected diving situations and to provide the right support should anything occur, developing and sharpening your observation, judgment and attention skills and enhancing your responsiveness and readiness. Essentially, as a PADI Rescue Diver you learn to know better yourself and your diving buddies: after this course your diving perspective will change!
First aid course, propaedeutic for the Rescue Diver course, where you learn the assessment, resuscitation and life sustaining techniques useful for keeping someone alive while waiting for medical care. This course does not include any dive.
It is an acknowledgment of a diver experience and represents the maximum non professional level in the scuba training PADI System. The Master Scuba Diver license is achieved with at least 50 certified dives, a Rescue Diver license, plus five specialty licenses (see the section For Specializing).
For 12 to 14 years old, Advanced O.W.D, Rescue Diver and Master Scuba Diver courses and certifications are “Junior” type.
